Waiting to Berth at Lombok
On the Ferry from Sumbawa to Lombok

An easy 125km run to Poto Tano at the west end of Sumbawa Island, to catch a ferry to Lombok. They go every 45mins… so no dramas. Ha!
We got straight on one and have spent more than an hour now, spinning in circles, five km out, waiting for a berth spot at Lombok. It’s now 4.30pm and any thought of getting to the west coast has evaporated.
We met a policeman on the ferry and he gave us a lead on where to go for a ferry/ship to Singapore. It’s a small place half way up Sumatra called Batam. It’s a four day drive once you get onto Sumatra, but at least we have a route!
